Mr. Sunshine

Location

Mister Sunshine is the acoustic side project of “The Astros,” beginning in February 2020.

He has been playing and writing songs for the past few years in different bands, but this is his first solo music project and his first performance as Mister Sunshine!

He writes and plays mostly pop/rock songs, but loves adding a little tinge of folk to his sound–and that is largely what led to the beginning of Mister Sunshine.

Mike Murray

Location

Mike Murray is a singer of creative folk and country traditional music, with a voice sounds like a blend of Burl Ives, Johnny Cash and Gordon Lightfoot. He has played every Tumbleweed but one since 1997.Mike is a previous two-time winner of the Jane Titland Memorial songwriting contest, with one of those songs (“Grandpa Held the Snakes”) later being covered by the Kingston Trio.

Micki Perry

Micki Perry is a founding member of the 3 Rivers Folklife Society (3RFS) AND with her late husband John, a founder of the Tumbleweed festival.  Micki serves as the 3RFS booking agent and concert producer, as well as a program coordinator for the Tumbleweed Festival. She enjoys performing for audiences of all ages.

Michael Henchman

Location

Michael Henchman brings us progressive folk, mixed with redwoods, diners, grassy plains, a dash of longing, and a bit of road dust added for texture.  Michael’s thoughtful, imagery-rich songwriting reveals a deep fascination with a cinematic landscape; of life’s side roads that often beckon, of journeys on the quest for connective meaning that we all share.  Michael is a finalist in this year’s Jane Titland Memorial Songwriting Contest.

Michael “Hawkeye” Herman

Location

Michael “Hawkeye” Herman is an internationally-known blues performer and educator.  With almost 50 years of performing experience, he exemplifies the range of possibilities in acoustic blues, and personifies versatile musicianship, originality, and compelling artistry as a blues storyteller.

Megan Cronin

Location

Megan Cronin a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter from Portland, OR, with a background in classical bluegrass, folk, country, and rock. She has toured the country with folk-rock bands and has been a studio session player in both Colorado and Oregon.

Mark and Cindy Lemaire

Location

Mark Lemaire’s guitar style incorporates slap-and-tap harmonics, hand percussion, and a delicate touch that goes straight to your heart. Mark’s harmonies with his wife Cindy Lemaire are so perfectly matched that they seem like two people with one voice. They toured the Pacific Northwest last year, including a 3RFS concert last September, and have played the Folklife Festival. Mark and Cindy are thrilled to be part of their firstTumbleweed festival this year.
